An all-party meeting convened by the government ahead of the Monsoon session of Parliament is underway in New Delhi on Sunday (July 20, 2025) where the opposition is likely to rake up various issues, including Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar as well as the Pahalgam terror attack.

Congress’s Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi said “Issues that we deem are important in this session are Pahalgam. The conflict on our borders especially with countries coming together to form a two front access.”

Mr. Gogoi said “And also the right of every citizen to vote and the concerns regarding the special intensive revision in Bihar. On all these issues, as the head of the government, it is incumbent and the moral responsibility of the Prime Minister to speak to the nation through the corridors of Parliament. I hope that the Prime Minister will fulfill his moral and ethical duty.”
After the all-party meeting, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said “The U.S. President Donald Trump is repeatedly saying that he got the ceasefire done using trade deal as the negotiating card. The government should give clarification on this.”

Mr. Singh further said “Slums were demolished in Delhi. Government must stop it. SIR exercise should stop in Bihar. Electoral scam is going on… If the government does not answer, we will raise questions inside and outside the House…”
Leaders of various political parties attended the meeting, where the government was represented by Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju and his junior Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
Gaurav Gogoi and Jairam Ramesh of the Congress, Supriya Sule of NCP-Sharad Pawar, DMK’s T R Baalu and RPI (A) leader and Union minister Ramdas Athawale were in attendance.
INDIA bloc parties have resolved to raise during the Parliament’s Monsoon session the issues of Pahalgam attack terrorists not being brought to justice, US President Donald Trump’s repeated claims of brokering a ‘ceasefire’ during India-Pakistan hostilities and the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar that the Opposition alleges “threatens people’s voting rights”.
