The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert in six Telangana districts for Friday, August 8.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts. Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur in all 33 districts of the State.
Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see generally cloudy sky. “Light to moderate rains or thundershowers with intense spells at times accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur in the city towards evening or night. Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 33 and 23 respectively,” the bulletin said.
