The prime suspect, a 19-year-old youth, in the murder of a history-sheeter in T.P. Chatram on Wednesday, had been waiting for over 15 years, to avenge his father’s murder, police sources said.

According to the police, the victim, ‘Fulkan’ Rajkumar, 42 of Jothi Ammal Nagar in T.P. Chatram, had been classified as a ‘B’ category rowdy, as he faced several attempted murder and assault cases. Giving up rowdyism, he joined the AIADMK. On Wednesday afternoon, a gang of five barged into his house, and attacked him. They then fled the scene.

Police officers from T.P. Chatram rushed to the spot, and recovered Rajkumar’s body. An investigation revealed the motive to be revenge for the murder of history-sheeter Senthil in 2008, in which Rajkumar was involved.

Police sources said three persons who were involved in Senthil’s murder, had alreadybeen murdered.

When Senthil was murdered in 2008, his son, Yuvanesh, was two years old. Now, he is a first-year BBA student in a city college. Rajkumar used to tell Yuvanesh that he was the one who murdered his father. Provoked by this, he, along with his collegemates, committed the murder, the police said.

Yuvanesh and two of his accomplices have been arrested.

A search is on for two more suspects.
