An 11-year-old girl got electrocuted when she accidentally came in contact with a live wire during a religious fete in Kodimial mandal of Jagtial district late on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Madhusri, daughter of Nagaraju and Mamatha of Kodimial town. According to sources, Madhusri was participating in the annual Brahmotsavam fete at Venkateshwara Swamy temple when the incident occurred.
Her parents were left shattered following her tragic death soon after participating in ‘Kolatam’ traditional dance during the religious procession. A case has been registered at Kodimial police station and further investigation is on.
