12 Bangladeshi nationals arrested in Salem

The Salem City Police arrested 12 Bangladeshi nationals, who were working in a sweater company, on Monday evening.

Acting on a tip-off, the special team police raided a sweater company at Kombaikadu near Chettichavadi in Salem Corporation and found the 12 Bangladesh nationals, including a woman who had been working in the company for two years by using fake documents.

They also obtained Aadhaar and other identity cards using these fake documents. They were identified as Mashrul (37), Mulla Sheikh (23), Lippi Akthar Sumi (36), Faishal (30), Nasrul Islam (25), Mohammed Kasim (35), Mohammed Abu Yusuf Islam (25), Barakath Ali (38), Mohammed Aien (36), Mohammed Rasheer (30), Najmul Hussein (40), and Rafiq (37). The police arrested them and lodged them at the Special Camp for Bangladeshi Nationals at Attur.
