A 13-year-old boy was found dead at his residence in Subhash Nagar, Petbasheerabad on Wednesday (November 26, 2025) after allegedly being distressed over unpaid school fees.
The victim, a Class 8 student at Little Star School, had reportedly not been attending classes for several days due to non-payment of fees. According to police, his parents left for their food business at around 11 a.m., during which he locked the door and ended his life.
The incident came to light when his sister found the door locked at about 5:30 p.m. and alerted their father. He forced open the door and discovered his son’s body.
The Petbasheerabad police registered a case and initiated a probe to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death.
