13-year-old girl swept away in stream at Padmanabham

A 13-year-old girl went missing after she was reportedly swept away in a stream at Tunipalem village under the Padmanabham police station limits on Thursday.

According to reports, the girl, identified as Dhanushree had accompanied some villagers to the stream, which was overflowing with floodwater. She accidentally entered the water and was carried away by the strong current. Upon hearing the locals cry for help, villagers rushed to the spot and immediately began searching for the girl, but there was no trace of her.

Padmanabham police reached the spot and initiated a search operation with the help of SDRF and fire department.
