An 18-year-old engineering student died after accidentally falling from a high-rise apartment in Sanathnagar on Wednesday night (November 26). The deceased was identified as Deepika Choudhary, a first-year B.Tech student residing at Kalpataru Residency, a gated community in the area.
According to police, Deepika was known to frequently sit near the window of her family’s 10th-floor flat. On Wednesday night, she was reportedly eating while sitting by the window when she slipped and fell to the ground. Emergency services were alerted, but she succumbed to her injuries.
A case was registered following a complaint by the family. After the postmortem, the body was handed over to them. Both the police and the family have confirmed that there is no suspicion of foul play.
