2 children killed in building collapse in Attappady

Two little brothers were killed and another child seriously injured when a half-finished house collapsed at Karuvara tribal hamlet near Mukkali in Attappady on Saturday evening.

The deceased siblings were identified as Adi, 7, and Ajnesh, 4. Abhinaya, 6, who suffered injuries, is a relative of the deceased children.

The children were playing at the unfinished house, which was in disuse for several years. Police said the structure had become weak from constant exposure to rain and sun.
