In an anti-drug operation, the Dharmavaram police in Sri Sathya Sai district on Monday (November 10, 2025) arrested 14 people, including two juveniles, and seized three kilograms of ganja at Mudigubba.
Deputy SP (Dharmavaram) B. Hemanth Kumar said that six persons were involved in peddling while eight were users. Acting on a tip-off, a special police team raided a commercially active location and seized the contraband and a motorcycle.
The accused had reportedly bought ganja from Anantapur for ₹5,000 per kg and sold it in small packets for ₹200–₹400. The accused were produced before court and remanded. The two juveniles were shifted to a rehabilitation centre in Anantapur. Police said raids will continue against drug offenders in the district.
