2025 local body polls: over 29.04 lakh voters in Thiruvananthapuram district

The number of voters in Thiruvananthapuram district has increased to 29,04,092 following the latest revision of the electoral rolls undertaken by the State Election Commission ahead of the 2025 local body elections.

The number has increased by 16,828 over the previous revision, held earlier this year, and 77,902 voters compared to the voters’ list used in the 2020 local body elections.

The district now has 15,54,551 women voters, 13,49,510 male voters and 31 transgender voters.

The State Election Commission had published the final voters list ahead of the 2025 elections on Saturday.

Compared to 2020, when local body elections were last held, the number of women voters in the district has increased by 65,264, male voters by 12,268 and transgender voters by ten. In 2020, the district had 28,26,190 eligible voters including 14,89,287 women, 13,36,882 men and 21 transgender persons.

This time, the district has 41 overseas electors.

The Thiruvananthapuram Corporation has 8,24,326 voters. Of the four municipalities in the districts, Neyyattinkara has 66,528 voters, Nedumangad 57,716 voters, Attingal 32,566 voters and Varkala 33,604 voters.

In 2020, the local body polls in Thiruvananthapuram district was held on December 8.
