A 21-year-old man was killed in a road accident at Balanagar on Thursday morning while on his way to work in Madhapur.
The victim, identified as M. Rohandev, a resident of Dairy Farm Road in Bowenpally, was employed with a private firm.
According to Balanagar Inspector T. Narsimha Raju, the accident was reported around 11.30 a.m. when Rohandev was travelling towards Madhapur on his sports bike.
āAt the landing of the Balanagar flyover, he attempted to overtake a car and lost control, crashing into the road median. He sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot,ā the officer said.
Police reached the scene soon after receiving information and shifted the body for postmortem examination. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
