Telangana Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA, Adi Srinivas, had a providential escape when the basement of an incomplete Government double-bed room housing block suddenly collapsed in the temple town of Rajanna Sircilla district on Tuesday (November 25, 2025).

Mr. Srinivas, accompanied by in-charge Collector Garima Agrawal, was inspecting the incomplete block at the basement level when the incident occurred. He had a narrow escape after the basement he was standing on suddenly caved in. He was helped by his gunmen and local residents.
The Congress party local leaders alleged that the basement caved in due to substandard work carried out during the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government, which they blamed for ‘leaving’ the construction of the housing block ‘incomplete’ at the base level during its tenure.
