Preparations are nearly complete for the 30th edition of the two-day CII Partnership Summit-2025, scheduled to take place from November 14 at the AU Engineering College grounds in Visakhapatnam. The event is being jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal will be the chairman of the summit while Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is the co-chairman.
On the inaugural day, the event will start with opening plenary session on trade, which will set the tone of the summit and will explore the critical role of the Government-Industry collaboration in sustaining the country’s growth momentum and shaping its global leadership.
Day two will begin with a plenary session on Technology and Innovation. This session will explore A.P.’s approach to corporate start-up co-creation, market access for regional founders.
According to the CII sources, this year’s Summit would capture perspectives of leading experts from the major tracks of discussion, which include trade, future of industrialisation, sustainability and climate action, technology and innovation, growth, geo-economic framework and inclusion.
“India’s economy is expected to expand by 6.2% in 2025 and 6.3% in 2026, outpacing many of its global counterparts. By 2028, the country is expected to become the world’s third-largest economy, with a nominal GDP exceeding $5 trillion. The upcoming CII Partnership Summit-2025 in Visakhapatnam will foster dialogue, collaboration, and global business partnerships for a shared and prosperous future of the country,” a CII source told The Hindu.
The summit will feature sessions addressing global trends, national priorities, and transformative strategies like, Gateway to Growth: the trade and investment imperative; Crisis to Competitiveness: strengthening economic security; Industry 5.0 Leap: can India become a global hub for tech-driven manufacturing; Focus: India’s industrial roadmap, semiconductor expansion, and the China+1 strategy; Industrial Corridors 2.0: building smart, connected ecosystems for industry 5.0; Climate Risks for Indian Businesses: assessing vulnerabilities and strategic responses; ESG Evolution: advancing transparent and inclusive climate action; Technology & Innovation: transforming ideas into global impact and accelerating inclusive and sustainable innovation; Global Financial Architecture; Navigating the New Normal: embracing uncertainty as a constant; Geo-Economic Framework: understanding shifting global dynamics; Inclusive Innovation: gender equity in the age of industry 5.0; Industry 5.0: reskilling for an automated world; Exploration: collaborative efforts by businesses, governments, and academia to prepare the workforce for the evolving industrial paradigm.
