With the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) under way in Krishnagiri, 5.25% of voters in the district have been identified as dead or otherwise, including permanent migration as of date. This entailed 88,165 voters under the various categories, according to the District Collector and the District Election Officer C. Dinesh Kumar

Krishnagiri, with its six Assembly constituencies, has 8,39,439 female voters, 8,40,875 male voters and 312 trans voters accounting for a total of 16,80,626 voters.

As of date, the enumeration forms under SIR have been issued to 15,96,513 voters accounting to 95% of the total distribution. Of these, 10,17,556 voters (60.55%) have handed over the filled-in enumeration forms back to the booth-level officers (BLOs), which were uploaded online.

In Krishnagiri, as of Wednesday (November 26, 2025), 58,635 voters (3.49%) have been identified as dead, 23,806 voters (1.42%) permanently migrated, 4,177 voters (0.25%) as twice registered, 1,467 voters (0.09%) as unavailable at the address and 80 (0.0048%) as miscellaneous. This accounted for 5.25% of voters numbering 88,165 identified for elimination from the final list.

Earlier, the Collector lauded the BLOs who had completed their enumeration exercise and uploaded the forms of their designated booths. The special intensive exercise is being carried out by 1,896 BLOs, 196 BLO supervisors, panchayat secretaries, noon meal coordinators, volunteers and revenue staff.

The Collector also held an all-party meeting with the recognised political party representatives briefing about the enumeration process.
