571 booked as Ernakulam Rural police launch special drive against miscreants

The Ernakulam Rural police booked 571 people on Thursday (November 27, 2025) during a special drive against anti-social behaviour. While 466 cases pertained to minor offences, 105 cases related to serious offences were booked, and 75 people were arrested

‘Operation De-Weed’, led by District Police Chief (Ernakulam Rural) M. Hemalatha, is being implemented to detect and rehabilitate people who pose a threat to social safety and cause public nuisance, according to a communication.
