Ninety-seven newly trained personnel have joined the Kerala Fire and Rescue Services after completing their training at the Fire and Rescue Services Academy, Viyyur. The passing-out parade, held here on Friday was reviewed by Director General of Fire and Rescue Services Nitin Agrawal, who received the salute.

In his address, he said the exemplary rescue operations carried out by the force — including the rock-slide rescue in Konni; the fire incident at Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode; and the dramatic rescue of a family stranded mid-air at a sky-dining facility in Idukki — have earned immense public trust and admiration.
