District Election Officer and Collector S. Kandasamy said that 98% of voter enumeration forms have been distributed in the district.

He said that following the Election Commission of India’s notification dated October 27, 2025, regarding the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll, door-to-door distribution of forms began on November 4, 2025. A total of 2,222 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across the district’s eight Assembly constituencies have been carrying out this work with specific instructions and guidance for voters.

Of the 19,97,189 voters in the district, 19,57,983 forms, covering 98% of the electorate, had been distributed as of Thursday. The Collector stated that the remaining forms would also be distributed shortly to ensure 100% coverage.

BLOs will soon revisit each household to collect the duly filled-in forms. Voters are requested to keep the completed forms ready for submission. He clarified that no additional documents are required to be submitted along with the form.

To support the intensive revision work, eight Electoral Registration Officers, 44 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, 226 BLO Supervisory Officers, and 452 Additional Supervisors have been deployed. Officials from various departments have also been trained and assigned to assist, including uploading voter details through the BLO App, he said.
