The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on Monday launched the e-Office system, marking a shift towards a paperless work culture and digital governance in policing.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh launched the system at the Commissioner’s Office chamber in the presence of DCP Crimes Muthyam Reddy and DCP Cyber Crimes Y.V.S. Sudheendra.
Officials said the move was aimed at streamlining file processing, improving accountability and reducing delays in decision making.
The e-Office platform is a workflow based digital system designed to replicate the traditional file movement process while introducing automation and efficiency. It covers the registration of incoming files, creation of files, movement of receipts and files, and archival of records. The system enables real time tracking of files, strengthens accountability, ensures data security and integrity, and allows access anytime and anywhere.
Officials said the platform would help standardise procedures, reduce turnaround time and improve resource management, while also encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments.
The launch is in line with the Telangana Government’s directive to all State offices to adopt the e-Office system as part of its push for paperless governance and improved administrative efficiency. Developed under the National e-Governance Plan, the platform supports electronic file movement, workflow automation, document tracking and secure digital storage to ensure transparency and responsiveness.
Officials said training and technical support would be provided to ensure a smooth transition to the new system across departments.
