A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court has sought the response of the State government, the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) and other stakeholders on allowing only persons holding valid virtual queue or spot booking passes corresponding to the specific date and time slot to be permitted to proceed to the Sannidhanam in Sabarimala when it is opened to pilgrims each month.

A Bench of Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan V. and Justice K.V. Jayakumar issued the direction based on a report submitted by the Sabarimala Special Commissioner while considering a suo motu case in this regard.

The court had earlier directed the chief coordinator leading the police team and the TDB to ensure that only persons holding the valid virtual queue or spot booking passes corresponding to the specific date and time slot are permitted to proceed to the Sannidhanam.
