The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Friday directed the State government to file a status report in response to a public interest litigation petition seeking a CBI probe into the murder of a 17-year-old Class XII girl near a village at Kulathur in Thoothukudi district.
A Division Bench of Justices N. Sathish Kumar and M. Jothiraman was hearing the petition filed by K. Mareeshwari of Thoothukudi district.
