The Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA), Hyderabad, has procured two mobile Lok Adalat vans to expand legal awareness and services in remote villages across the State.
The vehicles were inaugurated here on Saturday by Justice Vikram Nath, Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Executive Chairman of NALSA.
Each vehicle has two sections, a fully equipped cabin for conducting Lok Adalats and video conferences, a second cabin for transporting Judicial Officers, Panel Lawyers, PLVs, and staff to legal literacy and awareness programmes in remote areas.
TSLSA previously operated only four mobile vans for 34 District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA), used on a rotational basis for legal literacy camps, outreach activities, and jail visits.
Justice K. Lakshman, Judge of the Telangana High Court and Chairman of the High Court Legal Services Committee; Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, Judge of the Supreme Court; Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court and Patron-in-Chief of TSLSA; Justice Aniruddha Bose, Former Supreme Court Judge and Director of the National Judicial Academy; and Justice P. Sam Koshy, Judge of the Telangana High Court and Executive Chairman of TSLSA, along with other judges and judicial dignitaries, also attended the event.
