Thousands from Karnataka took part in the Agnigunda Pravesam, a ritual held as part of the Ugadi Mahotsavams wherein devotees walk on burning coal, at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam on Wednesday (March 18). The temple management also organised Prabhotsavam the same day.

Agnigunda Pravesam was held at the camps set up for the Siva Deeksha devotees in the temple town. Veerachara Vinyasalu, the feats or performances by Veerasaiva devotees, were also held the same night.

Earlier, gramotsavam was held for the processional deities on the Nandi Vahanam and the idol of Goddess Bhramaramba was adorned in Maha Lakshmi alankaram.
