A 12-year-old girl studying at the government middle school at Santhanakarankadu near Kondalampatti is said to take leaves regularly. Following this, on Friday, when the girl came to school, the teachers allegedly verbally abused her. Later, the girl went to home and tried to end her life after explaining the incident in a letter.
