President of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy U. H. Umar on Wednesday appealed to Madhu Bangarappa, Minister for School Education and Literacy to introduce Beary as the third optional language from Class 6 from the academic year 2026-27.
In a memorandum submitted to the Minister in Bengaluru on Wednesday, Mr. Umar said that Konkani and Tulu have been introduced as the third optional language from Class 6.
