The bridge across the Koraiyar on the Tiruchi-Madurai Road near Edamalaipattipudur in the city will be closed for traffic from April 3 to facilitate the construction of a new bridge.
District Collector V. Saravanan, in a press release, said the old bridge will be demolished.
