Voter awareness programmes were held in Salem and Namakkal districts on Tuesday (March 31, 2026).
On Tuesday morning, Salem District Collector R. Brinda Devi distributed pamphlets to the public at Sooramangalam Uzhavar Sandhai regarding 100% polling in the Assembly election scheduled on April 23. Explanations are printed on how to receive voter details in the voters list through the toll-free number 1950 and how to complain about election-related complaints through the cVIGIL app.
Recently, the largest human formation to raise awareness was performed on the ground of a private college in Namakkal to create a world record as part of the awareness initiatives for the upcoming elections. In this event, 8,662 participants, including government officials, faculty members, and students, formed a massive formation depicting the election awareness symbol, logo of the Saksham mobile app, the phrase- “my vote not for sale,” and the April 23 polling date.
