Even as election campaigns dominate the public sphere, a quieter, more reflective moment has emerged from Kerala’s political landscape with Higher Education and Social Justice Minister R. Bindu stepping into the literary spotlight.
The cover of her poetry collection, Anbum Alivum Alpam Anuragavum, was unveiled online by noted writers and friends from the literary world through a Facebook event, offering a refreshing cultural interlude amid the political heat.
The collection brings together poems written by Bindu over different phases of her life, in both Malayalam and English. Moving across a wide emotional spectrum — from love and longing to rejection, language, and mortality— the poems reflect an intimate engagement with life’s many layers.
Published by Green Books, Thrissur, the anthology is further enriched by a message from noted writer K. Satchidanandan and a foreword by acclaimed poet Ravunni.
