The U.S. military said on Tuesday (June 9, 2026) it has begun strikes against Iran following the crash of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter off the coast of Oman that U.S. President Donald Trump blamed on the Islamic Republic.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded on social media, saying that Iran’s armed forces will leave no attack or threat unanswered after the U.S. military carried out strikes on Wednesday (June 10, 2026) following the crash of an U.S. Army Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz. “Leave our region if you want to be safe,” he said on X.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on Wednesday that they have struck a US base in Bahrain, following attacks on the Islamic Republic over a downed American helicopter.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urged foreign forces on Tuesday to leave the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding areas, warning that they face a persistent risk of being caught in the crossfire.”
