A 26-year-old man ended his life in Namakkal and, in a note, demanded action be taken on the illegal sale of liquor on Friday (June 12, 2026).
According to the police, S. Prabakaran, a resident of Senthamangalam, was a driver. He was addicted to liquor, which had affected his health, and was undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, on Thursday night (June 11, 2026) he ended his life.
The Senthamangalam police sent the body for a post-mortem and seized a note from the deceased. The note, which was reportedly written by the deceased, urged the Chief Minister to prohibit the sale of illegal liquor in the locality. The police registered a case and are investigating further.
