Madurai City Central Crime Branch has arrested the fourth accused in the illegal registration of a land belonging to a trust that was serving Meenakshi Sundareswar Temple here on Friday.
The arrested person, B. Kalikumar (41) of Sirumalai is the 18th accused in the fraudulent registration of the 1.79 acres of land done in 2021.
Pudukottai Rajakumarar Dakshinamurthy Durairaja Durairani Trust formed in 1930 had taken up several religious services.
The police have already arrested three persons, including the former Tahsildar, K. Anbalagan, in connection with this case.
