More than 100 persons were screened at a free cancer screening camp held at Pattukottai on August 14.
According to sources, the camp was organised by the Karaikal Iyangars Foods Limited in association with Thangam Cancer Centre, Namakkal, at a marriage hall in Pattukottai, attended by people from Pattukottai and surrounding hamlets.
Screening and examination services, including random blood sugar, digital chest X-ray with AI-based evolution, clinical examination for breast-related concerns, pap smear for cervical cancer and dental examination for oral and dental disorders, were provided to the people at the camp, sources added.
