A TVK supporter, identified as Michael from Rakkipalayam, was arrested by the Periyanaickenpalayam police on Saturday (August 15) for uploading a post that allegedly denigrated Lord Muruga, on social media platform ‘X’.
The arrest was made following a complaint lodged by Hindu Munnani functionaries. Condemning the act of the TVK partyman, the Naam Tamilar Katchi had earlier demanded his arrest and detention under the Goondas Act.
