UK-based Telugu celebrity chef and entrepreneur Kanthi Kiran Thamma has been named a finalist in the prestigious Chef of the Year category at the BIH Spotlight Awards 2026.
Thamma, chef and director of The Spice Circuit Limited in Brighton, UK, was selected as a finalist following a large number of nominations received as part of a nationwide programme recognising outstanding talent across the UK hospitality industry. The finalists were chosen from more than 3,000 nominations, making his selection a notable recognition of his contribution to the UK’s diverse culinary sector.
Thamma’s selection comes a year after The Spice Circuit Limited won the Best South Asian Restaurant award at the BIH Spotlight Awards 2025. The honour recognised the restaurant’s contribution to South Asian cuisine and hospitality in the UK.
