Future City Commissioner of Police Tarun Joshi reviewed security, traffic and law-and-order arrangements on Sunday ahead of the scheduled visit of Prince Rahim Aga Khan V on September 15.
The prince is scheduled to attend a spiritual programme of the Ismaili community.
Mr. Joshi instructed personnel deployed at key junctions to monitor traffic closely and ensure smooth vehicular movement. Officers at parking locations were asked to regulate vehicles systematically and keep the entry and exit points clear.
The commissioner stressed punctuality, proper turnout and strict supervision of duties, warning that negligence or dereliction would invite departmental action.
As part of the security protocol at the programme venue, only officers of SI rank and above will be permitted to carry mobile phones. Constabulary personnel will have to deposit their phones at a designated point.
Traffic DCP Shivam Upadhyaya, Shadnagar Zone DCP Ch. Sirisha, Traffic ACP A. Chandrashekar, SB ACP M. Hussaini Naidu, Headquarters ACP Arun Kumar and other ACPs, CIs, SIs and police personnel attended the briefing.
