A private sector job fair will be held at the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre here on September 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A release said the fair, conducted on the third Friday of every month, will bring together private sector employers looking to recruit candidates ranging from those with basic literacy to graduates. Vacancies are also available for nurses, tailors, computer operators, typists and drivers. More than 100 jobseekers benefit from the monthly initiative, while skill-training institutions also participate and select candidates for various training programmes.
The job fair is being organised free-of-cost for both jobseekers and employers. Those interested in private sector employment in Erode district have been urged to participate. The employment registration numbers of candidates selected and placed through the fair will not be cancelled, the department said.
