
Organisers of ‘Run for Little Hearts’ releasing the t-shirt and medal for the fourth edition of the run in Coimbatore on Tuesday.

The fourth edition of ‘Run for Little Hearts’, an awareness run organised by G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial (GKNM) Hospital to aid children with heart defects and cancers, will be held in Coimbatore on September 27.
The organisers, who unveiled the t-shirt and medal for the run on the GKNM Hospital premises on Tuesday, said that participation of around 4,000 runners is expected in all categories this year.
The run will be held in three categories, namely 1 km and 3 km; 5 km; and 10 km, at 5.30 a.m. on Mani Higher Secondary School premises, Papanaickenpalayam. Winners in the 5km and 10km categories will receive cash prizes worth ₹ 80,000.
Ragupathy Veluswamy, Chief Executive Officer of GKNM Hospital, said 42 children with heart defects and cancer benefited from the funds raised in the third edition, in which 3,000 people participated.
The event is supported by LMW, Lakshmi Card Clothing, Blue Dahlia, Premier Fine Linens, Lakshmi Mills Co. Ltd., Lakshmi Energy and Environment Designs Pvt. Ltd., Precot and Sodexo as the hospitality partner. The run is recognised and approved by the Coimbatore District Athletic Association.
