Southern Railway would operate unreserved MEMU special trains between Tambaram and Madurai to clear extra rush of passengers in connection with consecration of Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple.
Train No. 06159 Tambaram – Madurai unreserved MEMU special will leave Tambaram at 5 p.m. on September 16 and reach Madurai at 2.20 a.m., the next day, a statement said
In return direction Train No. 06160 Madurai – Tambaram unreserved MEMU special will leave Madurai at 2 p.m. on September 17 and reach Tambaram at 9.45 p.m. the same day.
The trains, with 12 cars, would stop at Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Vriddhachlam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Tiruchi and Dindigul, the statement said.
