Minister V. Sampathkumar inaugurated special sales for Deepavali at the Co-optex outlets in Coimbatore district on Tuesday.
The special sales will include 30 % discount on all purchases till the end of January 2027. Soft silk products from Coimbatore, Salem, and Kancheepuram, and silk from Arani and Thanjavur are among the different textile and apparel products on sale at the Co-optex outlets.
The sales target for Coimbatore district is âč5.65 crore and for Coimbatore region, covering four districts, it is âč10 crore for the festival season this year. This year, the Co-optex has launched ânew for oldâ scheme, where customers can give their old, pure zari silk sarees at the Marudham or Saibaba Colony outlets in Coimbatore city and buy new products for the value of the zari.
The zari will be removed, tested and weighed on the spot at the two outlets.
The Minister was accompanied by the district Collector, Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, for the sales launch.
