The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA) organised a Mega Academic Leadership Meet on Saturday at the Aryabhata Auditorium on the university campus.
The event focused on formulating a roadmap to identify, encourage, and guide students and faculty members in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, technological advancement, and skill development.
Speaking at the event, JNTUA Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. Sudarsana Rao urged educational institutions to create opportunities that foster problem-solving skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, technical capabilities, and leadership qualities among students. Stressing the significance of identifying real-world challenges, he encouraged innovative solutions and provided students with mentorship, institutional support, and connections to industry experts.
The V-C expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister for Education Nara Lokesh for their vision and support in making the event and the JNTUA conference possible.
Meanwhile, JNTUA Registrar Professor B. Durga Prasad called upon all institutions affiliated with JNTUA to participate in a coordinated manner. He urged the principals to identify talented students and innovative teams, facilitate their participation in the conference, and provide appropriate guidance before, during, and after the event. He emphasised the importance of viewing this event not merely as a two-day program, but as a step towards developing a long-term ecosystem that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and industry linkages.
The conclave will feature a 36-hour hackathon with a proposed prize pool of ₹9 lakhs, strategic dialogues with entrepreneurs, capital partners, and policymakers, a startup expo for selected startups, a school innovation expo for students in grades 6-10, and a ‘Pitch Floor’ offering structured startup presentations and roadmap guidance.
