To clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming Dasara, Deepavali, and Chhath Puja festival season, Indian Railways has announced the extension of the periodicity of weekly special express trains with revised timings across major corridors.
As part of the operational plan, the Yesvantpur–Katihar–Yesvantpur Weekly Special Express will continue its services to accommodate holiday travellers.
Yesvantpur–Katihar Special will depart from Yesvantpur at 7.00 a.m. on Tuesdays from September 22 to November 24 (10 trips). En route, the train will arrive at Duvvada at 3.35 a.m. (departing at 3.37 a.m.), Kottavalasa at 4.23 a.m. (departing at 4.25 a.m.), Vizianagaram at 5.00 a.m. (departing at 5.10 a.m.), Srikakulam Road at 5.58 a.m. (departing at 6.00 a.m.), and Palasa at 7.45 a.m.(departing at 7.47 a.m.), before reaching Katihar at 6.00 a.m. on Thursdays.
In the return direction, Katihar–Yesvantpur Special will leave Katihar at 5.15 a.m. on Fridays between September 25 and November 27 (10 trips). It will service Palasa at 1.48 a.m. (departing at 1.50 a.m.) on Saturdays, Srikakulam Road at 2.48 a.m., Vizianagaram at 3.40 a.m., Kottavalasa at 4.13 a.m., and Duvvada at 5.33 a.m. on Saturdays, reaching Yesvantpur at 4.00 a.m. on Sundays.
