Second randomisation of EVMs completed in Thattanchavady

The Election Department has completed the second randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) to be utilised for the bypoll in Thattanchavady Assembly constituency on October 6. 

The randomisation was conducted through EVM Management System developed by the Election Commission of India in the presence of all contesting candidates/their representatives and the General Observer on Tuesday, a release said. 

After completion of the second randomisation, the list of reserve EVMs and VVPATs was shared with all the contesting candidates/ their representatives. The EVMs and VVPATs that were allocated would be used at the respective polling stations on the day of polling, Returning Officer Arjun Ramakrishnan said.
