The Railways will operate six round trips of a weekly special train between Mumbai LTT and Thiruvananthapuram North via Mangaluru Junction in October and November.
A press release from Southern Railway here said Train No. 01463 Mumbai LTT – Thiruvananthapuram North Special will leave LTT at 4 p.m. on October 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12 and 19 (Thursdays) to reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 11.30 p.m. the next day.
Train No. 01464 Thiruvananthapuram North – Mumbai LTT Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 2.15 p.m. on October 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14 and 21 (Saturdays) to reach LTT at 11.55 p.m. the next day.
The train will have four 3-tier AC, 11 sleeper class, five general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. It has commercial halts at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantvadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Surathkal, Mangaluru Junction, Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikkara, Kayamkulam, Karunagappalli, Sasthankotta, Kollam and Varkala Sivagiri.
Advance reservation for the special train will open at 8 a.m. on Monday from the Southern Railway end.
