The Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for Krishnagiri district was released by Collector C. Dinesh Kumar at the Collectorate on Saturday (September 26).
The ACP envisions a total credit outlay of ₹54,438.99 crore for 2026-27. Of this, ₹30,906.64 crore (56.8%) has been earmarked for the priority sector and ₹23,532.34 crore (43.2%) for the non-priority sector.
The sector-wise allocation entails ₹20,539.36 crore towards agriculture, earmarking the largest share, reflecting the predominantly agrarian nature of the district. MSMEs have been allocated ₹8,345.82 crore to support the auto cluster in Hosur and the granite cluster in Jagadevi/Bargur. Other priority sectors such as education, housing, renewable energy, social infrastructure, and export credit entail an allocation of ₹2,021.46 crore .
As far as the performance assessment under the previous year’s plan, against a target of ₹42,484.32 crore for financial year 2025-26, banks in the district achieved a credit flow of ₹48,726.20 crore, registering an achievement of 114.69%, reflecting the sustained efforts of the banking network in the district, according to the banks. Releasing the Annual Credit Plan, Collector and the District Consultative Committee Chairperson Dinesh Kumar appealed to all banks in the district to to extend credit support to farmers, MSMEs and other eligible beneficiaries under various Government-sponsored schemes, so as to further the district’s economic growth.
The Plan was jointly released in the presence of Sowndari M., Deputy Zonal Manager, Indian Bank, and M. Sasikumar, Lead District Manager, Krishnagiri. The Plan was prepared by Indian Bank, the Lead Bank for the district.
