LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), in collaboration with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) Warriors India, will organise an IIH awareness programme at 4 p.m. on September 30 at the GMR Varalakshmi campus in the city.
The expert session, accessible both in person and online, will focus on the neurological condition and promote the theme ‘Not Just A Headache’. Doctors from LVPEI said IIH required urgent attention as its symptoms often mimic common conditions such as migraine, headaches and general weakness. The condition may go unnoticed until complications such as vision loss or double vision occur, leading to delays in diagnosis and treatment.
