The Health Department on Wednesday advised candidates applying for the post of contractual staff nurses to be wary of intermediaries and not pay money to anyone promising appointments.
The District Health Society had recently invited applications for 4,724 posts of contractual/temporary staff nurses. In a post on social media, the Office of Health Minister, responding to an allegation that money was demanded for posting, said that the recruitment is being conducted in a transparent and merit-based manner.
âCandidates are requested to note that no payment or fee is required for selection or appointment. They are advised to exercise caution and not respond to any individual or intermediary who claims to influence the recruitment process in exchange for money or any other consideration,â it said.
The department said that any such instance could be reported on phone number â 8754448477 or via email to [email protected].
Candidates are requested to rely only on official communications and avoid engaging with unauthorised intermediaries or unverified claims, the post said.
