A total of 424 buses out of 642 buses from 11 depots of The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) had been brought under the Vettri Payanam scheme.

Tiruchi Collector Pratik Tayal, and TNSTC General Manager Sathish Kumar were present.

Similarly, shortly after the Chief Minister launched the scheme in Chennai, Collector C. Muthukumaran signalled the launch of the scheme in Karur.
