Thirty bottles of liquor being transported illegally from Goa to Nalgonda were seized by the Excise State Task Force during a vehicle check in Nalgonda district.
Acting on information about the transportation of liquor from Goa, a team led by Excise CI Ganapathi Reddy conducted checks along the Cheruvugattu-Narketpally-Nalgonda route.
During the operation, the officials intercepted a car on the Narketpally-Nalgonda road and found 30 bottles of Goa-origin liquor inside the vehicle. The driver, identified as Yethigoni Krishna Kumar, 36, a resident of Nalgonda, was taken into custody.
The Excise team confiscated the car along with the liquor bottles. The accused, seized liquor and vehicle were subsequently handed over to the Nalgonda Excise Station for further action.
