Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, along with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav, will launch water schemes worth ₹30,156 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the Proddatur constituency of Kadapa district on Monday (October 5, 2026). With 27.36 lakh new tap connections, the scheme aims to provide clean drinking water to 3.27 crore rural households.

District in-charge Minister S. Savitha, accompanied by TDP district president C. Bhupesh Subbarami Reddy, BJP district president Subba Reddy, and Jana Sena leader V. Ramana, inspected the arrangements made at the venue on Sunday (October 4).

The NDA government has made arrangements to mobilise nearly one lakh people for the programme, and the district administration has prepared plans for traffic regulation on the roads leading to Proddatur, as well as amenities such as drinking water, food, shelter, makeshift toilets, and health and sanitation at the public meeting venue.

Speaking to the media, Ms. Savitha said that the government had earmarked copious funds for schemes like start-up Kadapa, Invest Kadapa, smart kitchens, and the extension of the Kadapa airport terminal. She also called the Rayalaseema horticultural hub as a ‘game changer’.
