Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a leader who took charge during a period of crisis and infused confidence and renewed energy among the people, Andhra Pradesh, Health, Medical and Family Welfare Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has said.

The Minister issued a press statement highlighting Mr. Modi’s achievements on the occasion of his completing 25 years as the head of a government.

Recalling that Mr. Modi became Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, and assumed office as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014, Mr. Satya Kumar Yadav said his tenure as Chief Minister “established him as a beacon of hope” and helped “build public confidence in his leadership at the national level”.

He added that Mr. Modi became Prime Minister at a time when there was disappointment and uncertainty among people, who hoped for a better future. People believed Mr. Modi had lived up to that faith during his 12 years as Prime Minister, the Minister said.

The Health Minister said clarity of thought and firmness in taking and implementing decisions were among Mr. Modi’s distinctive qualities, and cited the repeal of triple talaq, the abrogation of Article 370, GST reforms, surgical strikes against infiltrators, Operation Sindoor and the handling of foreign affairs as examples.
